We all had to start somewhere so I will describe a few options but you could mess things up. I think I should warn you not attempt it unless you have things backed up and are prepared for the possibility that you may have to reinstall from scratch in the worst case scenario. Do you really want to risk that? I hope I am not being too dramatic.

With Ubuntu you can use the "Disk Utility" program in the System->Administration menu. The partition that has Partition Type: HPFS/NTFS (0x07) and Partition Flags: Bootable is the probable candidate for the Windows boot partition (which also contains the Splashtop OS).

You could also install "gparted" (sudo apt-get install gparted) to display the partitions on the hard drive(s). This one is dangerous, though, because you can change and delete them as well. Be careful.

Thanks for this tid bit. Like others I was working on re-configuring my fog server which was previously serving up dhcp on a local catalyst 2900xl and was hacking around with my settings to do PXE over the wireless router (wireless bridges in multiple locations) so that I could expand my imaging capabilities. I'd installed tomato forever ago but when I was putting in my config I had missed a char. When I looked at your config I saw what I missed.

Thanks!

It has been a while since I have done this since I have been using Ubuntu UNR for a few years now. From what I can remember you need to perform the "advanced mode hack" (discussed here http://www.aspireoneuser.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=39&t=28) to gain access to the "Add/Remove Software" gui program in the system menu. If PySolFC is not installable from there then you may have to install it from the terminal.

To see a list of available software:

yum list available

To install PySolFC:

yum install PySolFC

it may be case sensitive so you may need to try:

yum install pysolfc

You will also need to remember the root password you setup when you first got the machine. Sorry I can't give you better step by step instructions.

How can I install the PySolFC on my AA1 with Linpus Lite? I've had my AA1 for almost three years and other than Picasa and Skype, I haven't run anything that didn't come pre-installed. I'd love to have a least one Solitaire card game, since I don't care for any of the games pre-installed on the AA1.
